Palm Springs Braces for Massive Tech Wave as Immersive PS/NExT Summit 2026 Debuts Next Week

NBC Palm Springs previews PS/NExT Summit 2026 — New Experiences in Technology — opening June 22–23 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The two-day Summit expands on last year’s sold-out AI & Creativity Expo with six programmatic tracks across artificial intelligence, creative arts, and business development.
The piece highlights the headline lineup — Rob Minkoff (co-director, Disney’s The Lion King); opening keynote Baratunde Thurston, bestselling author and Emmy-nominated host; Philip Su, former engineering leader at Meta, OpenAI, and Microsoft; and desert-based AI visual artist Kelly Boesch — alongside interactive programming including the Local Business Vibe-a-thon (engineers building tech solutions for small businesses in real time) and GenJam, the creative sprint for AI-powered film and music.
NBC also notes the access programs that make the Summit broadly available: $95 for Coachella Valley residents (with ID) and free access for local students and educators. PS/NExT is presented in partnership with the City of Palm Springs Office of Economic Development and the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.
